GoDaddy is a bit cheaper when it comes to rock-bottom prices... however, there are some features lacking. You might want to compare it, to, say, HostGator, so you can make an informed choice and at least you%26#039;ll know what you%26#039;re missing for that extra $6 a month (I just recently switched from GoDaddy to HostGator myself).

You might also want to consider a reseller account. That way, if you ever find yourself in a position to recommend web hosting to someone else (perhaps a client for whom you%26#039;re designing a website), you can offer them hosting yourself. One or two of those and your own website will be free (or even earning money).

I use http://gate.dominateoptions.com and pay $9.95 a month. You can find cheaper prices but I don%26#039;t think you will find a host for cheaper that has a 99.99% uptime guarantee. They offer plans for both unix and windows. I only use windows but at least the option is there.
