Is there a way to move a forum to another web host?

I have a forum at proboards and think i would like to move to yuku.com. is there a way to do that without losing any posts or threads already posted?

You have to login to the website of your web hosting company and point your domain to another name server(to move you domain name over, the www.blah.com).

For example.

ns1.newhost.com

ns2.newhost.com.

If your host doesn%26#039;t have that section, call them, and ask them to change it, as well as call or e-mail you new host to find out what there nameserver is called.

Next you need to download an FTP tool like SmartFTP or Filezilla (they are both free). And download your site from one site, and then when the domain is moved to your new host, re-upload it to you new site. Ask you web hosting companies if you are stuck.

Yes, you can. You have to save mysql database of your forum and upload at new forum.

I would like to suggest following webhosting which I use, they are excellent.

Hostmonster http://www.hostmonster.com/track/ryukend...

They offer hosting of %26quot;unlimited domains%26quot; and you will get massive webspace of 300000 MB (300 GB ). They only charge $5.95/month and they offer %26quot;a free Domain Name%26quot; and installing service called %26quot;Fantastico%26quot;. By using Fantastico, you could create own forum, photo gallery, shopping cart (e-commerce),your own auction site and your own blogs within few seconds. They also offer %26quot;Free Website Builder%26quot; as well.

Visit the site to check details.

Other Replys:you may need to seek proboard%26#039;s help to export your database for you.

after that, you can sign up for free hosting at http://kohost.0lx.net and install your forum in the web server. after which, you can manage your own database, and switch servers anytime.
