You may download Apache server. But to run your website online 247, you will have to switch on your computer all the time which will cost you and may damage your computer in the long term.

You may want to consider some paid hostings. Following webhosting site is quite good.

Hostmonster http://snipurl.com/1512d

They offer hosting of %26quot;unlimited domains%26quot; and you will get massive webspace of 200000 MB (200 GB ). They only charge $4.95/month and they also offer %26quot;a free Domain Name%26quot; and installing service called %26quot;Fantastico%26quot;. By using Fantastico, you may create own forum, photo gallery, shopping cart (e-commerce),your own auction site and your own blogs within few seconds. They also offer %26quot;Free Website Builder%26quot; as well.

Visit the site to check details.

Hey!

Yes, there are _quite_ many programs out there that will help you

host your own web-page on your own computer.

For advanced user, you could use XAMPP%26#039;s %26quot;Apache%26quot; Server.

I assume you%26#039;ll run this on a Windows Computer, so I%26#039;ll suggest

%26quot;PlanetHomeWeb Simple Web Server%26quot;.

I haven%26#039;t tried it yet, but the reviews make it look promissing ;)

So, I%26#039;ll add the Download link for this program.

Best of luck!

- Oh! Before I forget; If you want your domain name to bring

people to the WEB-Page on your own computer, ask the company that host your Domain if they can add a %26quot;Reverser%26quot; to your IP-Adress.

Many of them are quite OK, so I guess they%26#039;ll do it ;)

Here%26#039;s the Download-Link:

Other Replys:This can be tricky since most ISP%26#039;s don%26#039;t have static IP addressing. however you can get around this with.

Next you have to have a web server which you can get from here

its a fun free and easy way to make websites, there is always a help bar if you get confused, also if u use it you can email me about any problems at eyespy_paulie@yahoo.com

Other Replys:use FLASH 5.0 I hear its the best(easy and simple) way for quickly seting up a page. you can add graphics or whatever you want to.

Other Replys:Some good answers there i might look them up. But I simply use front page to make my web and my isp bigpond supply me 10mb of free space to host it simple and effective.

Over 10 GB of space and 300 GB of bandwidth, more then you%26#039;ll ever need!
