It depends on what you are looking for. Many people will tell you %26quot;Go for the most space and bandwidth%26quot; and thats something you DON%26#039;T WANT TO DO. They promise you 9999 gigs of web space but they prevent you from uploading large files and files of certain types. They know you wont use this web space and use it only as an advertisement ploy to trick users. What you need to do is decide what you need.

Are you interested in using server side languages like PHP/MYSQL? If so make sure they have many databases and support that language.

I would suggest finding a site then Google it and check the reviews on it. I wish I had done this with my First webhost (Dot5Hosting) They offered lots of space and stuff but did not deliver. They offered unlimited domains but required you contacting customer service to create one (and they didnt speak english so it never worked... they always forgot to point the subdomain places). The site took 2 weeks to reach a semi stable state (it came up but crashed every 5 minutes). The server constantly crashed. They had a custom Control Panel that was horrible. After I googled them, it came up with hundreds of bad reviews.

After a year of using freehosts in fear of buying one I finally just bought basic hosting from Lunarpages. I found only 1 bad review and it was for something involving email or something. So far its AMAZING. I would suggest Lunarpages to you.

It depends on what you want. If you want just a basic, low memory site, go with something like GoDaddy (not recommended). Instead of going into detail, I highly, HIGHLY, recommend Host Department (http://www.hostdepartment.com) if you want a full featured site. They include unlimited space, traffic, mailboxes, and MySQL Databases, and constantly update their servers with the latest versions of PHP. They run Unix based servers by default, which are highly reliable, and have almost no downtime. Besides an initial 24-48 waiting period on first setting up your site (in which you can still upload files during that time), there is no wait on any other feature, unless you%26#039;re switching from a shared IP to a dedicated IP (or vice versa). Along with that, you can change pretty much any aspect of your site (or server settings) through a really user friendly control panel. They offer nearly 24/7 live support to anyone, including non-registered members. This is all for around 5.35$/mo (with discounted deals if you choose to pay every six months, or every year), with a yearly fee of 12.95 for domain hosting. I personally have been using them for years on end now.

Along with the previous user%26#039;s comment on upload size/file type, HD has no limit on type, and a max file upload size of, if I remember right, 800,000 MB upload limit.

Other Replys:a good features is just a content of you%26#039;re web site ....

the space it is easy to have it ..but the hard thing is the designer and how you will bulid you%26#039;re web site ..and what is you%26#039;re system on you%26#039;re web site and what is you%26#039;re idea ...this what you need to care about it .

Other Replys:Check out www.tophostreviews.blogspot.com They offer the best comparison shopping for hosting, domain purchasing and the sort. I personally like the first one on the list because they offer it all and it is affordable. They also offer sitebuilder where you can create websites with ease. You can also host unlimited domains under one account.

Other Replys:The best host GUARANTEED is 1 %26amp; 1. They are SO professional and cheap! As low as $3.99 a month with a free domain! Plus you get a secured web domain and hosting service which means no one can use a WHOIS lookup and find your address through ownership of the site. Most other companies (INCLUDING the major ones like GoDaddy and Yahoo CHARGE YOU for this). You also get at least a $25 gift certificate for 4 different site promotion websites such as Google AdWords! Amazing!

Go here and look for yourself!

Other Replys:Dear fiend, any bad web hosting service would trouble you for a long period. At first, try to choose a professional service to get rid of the subsequent problems.

As an experienced webmaster I suggest BlueHost service which I閳ユ獡 sure it would work for you and fulfill all your requirements. They have a really great offer for hosting %26amp; I have used them for over 3 yrs now, and have never had a single problem with them.

Other Replys:I does depend a lot on your site size and what you are looking for the host to do.

If you want to just pay for bare bones hosting there are a million companies that have cheap unreliable services and no one to call and talk to in person.

If you get a reliable company (like ITS) for a little more money you get more help via phone and a team of people who can help build and maintain your site.

I think people are too concerned with cost and not interested in the things that will help get their site up and running quickly and keep it up reliably all the time.
