To host your site for free, I would highly recommend the following 2 sites.

Awardspace -%26gt; www.awardspace.com (PHP + MySQL)

50webs -%26gt; www.50webs.com

Both of these sites allow you to host for free and does not have any advertisement pop ups like those provided by geocities.

I have sites hosted on both the companies. Example

Awardspace -%26gt; http://www.wanginternet.com

50webs -%26gt; http://cctvcamera.50webs.com
